How Contributions to the Sorin Society Support Notre Dame

Founder and CEO of US Funds, LLC, Daniel Palmier has originated more than $750 million in loans since founding the firm in 2010. Daniel Palmier leverages his professional success to contribute to organizations such as the Edward Frederick Sorin Society (EDSS) at the University of Notre Dame.

Commonly referred to as the Sorin Society, EDSS was established more than 35 years ago. Through alumni support as well as public contributions from family and friends of the university, the society upholds its mission “to be a force of good around the world.” Monetary donations fund campus ministry programs that currently serve 3,000 students annually. The program is comprised of 58 chapels that host mass more than 80 times per week and the Institute for Church Life, which addresses church needs.

In terms of financial aid, the society awarded some form of monetary assistance to 75 percent of the student population in 2014. Average scholarships amounted to $29,900, and the organization granted a total of $118 million in undergraduate aid.
